Sensei Lo, a versatile DJ and producer specializing in Afro-Electronic music, brought her unique talents to the Felabration events in both Sheffield and Hull, where she delivered outstanding Afrohouse remixes of Fela Kuti’s iconic songs.
 
At Network Sheffield, Sensei Lo transformed the venue into a pulsating hub of rhythm and energy. Her seamless blending of Fela’s legendary Afrobeat sound with modern Afrohouse beats created a sonic experience that was both nostalgic and futuristic. Her set was a tribute to Fela’s revolutionary spirit, while showcasing the vibrant evolution of Afrobeat in today’s electronic music scene.

At the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull, Sensei Lo’s performance elevated the Felabration event to new heights. Playing in the gallery’s more intimate space, she adapted her set to fit the artistic and reflective atmosphere, yet still managed to infuse the room with the electric energy that defines her sound.

Her ability to adapt to both the vibrant club-like atmosphere of Network Sheffield and the cultured ambiance of the Ferens Art Gallery demonstrates her versatility and artistry as a DJ and producer, solidifying her reputation as a leading force in Afro-Electronic music.

Biography

Sensei Lo is a versatile DJ and producer specializing in Afro-Electronic music. Originally from Ghana and now based in London, she has made her mark on both local and international stages. Her performances include the 2020 Glastonbury Festival (Rum Shack - The Common), Asa Baako (One Dance) Festival, Budweiser’s BUDX, BBC Media Action’s “No Siddon Look,” ART X Live, Gidi Fest, Major Lazer Live, and London Fashion Week, among others.

As a resident DJ at Oroko Radio, Sensei Lo has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Major Lazer, Eno Napa, Boddhi Satva, and Black Motion. Her mission is to spread the healing power of happiness through music and dance.

She was also featured in the short film documentary "Assurance," which premiered on Boiler Room TV, directed by Berlin-based DJ Juba, and appeared on FACT Mag’s "Against The Clock."
