Senator the Comedian’s “Most Distinguished: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” UK Comedy Tour made its mark in Hull, bringing an unforgettable evening of Nigerian humour, culture, and community to Social on Humber Street.
Hosted by the charismatic MC Dutch, the night kicked off with his lively introduction, setting the stage for an electric atmosphere.
The audience was then treated to a hilarious stint by Omoluabi Adeolutayo, while DJ NAS B kept the energy high with vibrant music interludes throughout the night.
The main act, Senator the Comedian, took the stage at 8 PM and had the audience rolling with laughter through his sharp observations and witty storytelling.
After several rounds of laughter-inducing jokes, Senator introduced fellow comedian Dan D Humorous. Dan’s hilarious set brought the crowd to its feet, sparking a “money shower” from the audience—a popular Nigerian custom symbolizing appreciation. DJ NAS B provided music interludes as the crowd cheered on.
Senator later returned for another round of humor, sharing the spotlight with MC Dutch to recognize special guest Cllr Rob Pritchard, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Leisure. Cllr Pritchard expressed his appreciation for the event and enjoyed the spicy Nigerian jollof prepared by Mai’s Kitchen, adding a delicious cultural touch to the night.
To close out the night, MC Pashun delivered a memorable set filled with hard-hitting humour, reflecting on Nigerian life and taking guests on a nostalgic journey. It was a night full of laughter, connection, and cultural pride—one that attendees won’t soon forget.
