Nigerian Comedy Icon Senator Kicks Off UK Tour: First Naija Comedy Show in Hull!

Fans of Nigerian comedy are in for a treat this weekend as Bethel Njoku, famously known as Senator, kicks off the UK leg of his latest comedy special, “Senator Most Distinguished: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.” Spanning from October 25th to November 10th, 2024, this tour promises an evening filled with laughter, relatable humor, and cultural insights, as Senator and a cast of stellar comedians bring Nigerian wit and storytelling to audiences across the UK. This tour is particularly historic for Hull, marking the first-ever Naija comedy show in the city!

Senator

With a reputation for his razor-sharp wit and fearless takes on social issues, Senator has garnered a loyal following by weaving political and economic satire into everyday humor, creating an unforgettable comedic experience.

My first comedy show in Lagos was in 2017, and I followed it up with another one in the UK in 2018. I’m proud to be the first Nigerian comedian to tour six cities in the UK. It’s all about timing—comedy isn’t something you can force, or you’ll wear yourself out.

MC Pashun

MC Pashun (Chidi Richard Deribe): Famous for his role as Titus in My Flatmates, Pashun combines sharp observational humor with his background in Psychology, offering comedy that resonates across different cultures. He’s entertained audiences from the UK to Ghana and Canada.

These comedic powerhouses, supported by local hosts Olalekan MC Dutch and Omoluabi Adeolutayo, will bring their energy and humour to Social on Humber Street in Hull, alongside DJ NAS B who will keep the vibes high throughout the evening.
